This is one of the many pieces of paper documenting my truck's sorted life. I have more comprehensive records. Notice the date of service? I was 1 year old when this warranty repair was done.

Warranty is different to re-call. It's not unusual for new vehicles to have recalls early in its life, especially if it's the first generation of a new model. All the new cars I've had have had minor things rectified in the first year or two of ownership.

*sordid
Unless you mean it's sorted, as in "taken care of". Which would be exactly the opposite of "sordid".

I meant sorted as in taken care of

Well, the Recall replacement was done under warranty. But the amazing part is that fragile piece of paper has survived with the truck for over 20 years

Whilst it may have been done during the warrant period it's still a recall. I had the front springs replaced on my D40 Navara(Frontier to you) well after the warranty ran out due to a recall, the result is the same as in free work carried out so I can understand you getting confused.
I'm just sitting here splitting hairs...
